Flinch

In the city, I'm unknown
In the city I'm a rolling stone
Haven't been the same since she passed away
But I guess it doesn't matter anyway
I will not flinch
Eat Kopiko in the night
Having toast in the morning
Haven't been the same since she passed away
But I guess it doesn't matter anyway
I will not flinch
Behind your eyes I see you

Blood The Child

Text her to the bone
Leave her all alone
Chit-chat is such a chore
She's in love - she's such a whore
Caught in the chains of self-esteem
Her leg is sore - the razor stings
Just walk away from all that's right
And don't forget to blood the child
Beware her lazy Rs
Beware her crazy eyes
Pain she knows too well
I assumed that she was well

Pain is right from me
When you're away I feel nothing at all
Say you're not worth it
Just say your name and I'll run in dark decay
Never knew what I wanted, wanted anymore
Knew what I wanted, wanted
But I never never got it got
Never knew what I wanted, wanted anymore
Never knew what I wanted, wanted
I can feel the slow pain
It's easier to run and hide
When no one knows you're even alive
Say your name, in the dark of the flame
And I'll run through the ground, I'll run through the ground again

Violent Violet

I'm burnt like a cigarette
I'm slow like Rosie in her bed
We're told we can't look down again
But sure, I feel like hell again
If you like pokies so much
Maybe you can die
If I don't see you round the bend
At least I showed you how to be a friend
You wanted more, I gave you everything
At least I showed you how to be a friend
Be a friend
We want nothing for ourselves
We look like I just came from hell
I want to say I love again
But I can't stand to hurt again
If you like showing skin
Then maybe you can fry

It's An Episode

As I lay in the dark like custodian art
I don't have much face
These extremely screwed up tales
Are drilling like a million nails
Driving in my spine
It's an episode
Don't you wanna go?
Do you want to be lost?
Yeah, that's what you want
I don't know what to find
These extremely screwed up tales
Are drilling like a million nails
Driving in my spine

The Weekend Hiatus Brisbane, Australia
The Weekend Hiatus is the brainchild of Tom Gillespie (Guitar, vocals), who decided one day that his music wasn't so bad and
that someone might like it. He met his drummer Ben Crock where he pretends to study in journalism, and the picture was completed with scotch-drinking keyboardist David Sparkes, whose on-stage dance needs to be seen to be believed.
Oh wait, where's the bass player?
Dammit.
